It's easy to make this slow cooker pinto beans recipe, and the beans come out tasty and tender. You can use them in many different dishes.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound dried pinto beans
- 6 cups water
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Rinse the pinto beans under cold water and remove any debris
Place the rinsed beans in the slow cooker along with diced onion, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, bay leaf, salt, and pepper
Pour water over the beans and stir to combine
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the beans are tender
Once cooked, discard the bay leaf and adjust seasoning if necessary
