Ingredients:
- 1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- Slider buns
- Hummus
- Slaw mix cabbage, carrots, and red cabbage
- Tahini sauce optional
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions:
Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C
Put chickpeas, pine nuts, parsley, red onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a food processor and blend them all together
Pulse until a rough mix comes together
Put the mixture in a bowl, and then add the breadcrumbs and beaten egg
Mix the ingredients together well
The mixture should be used to make small slider bun-sized patties
These should be placed on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper
Lightly coat the patties with olive oil
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning them over once, until they are golden brown and firm to the touch
To make the slaw, mix the slaw mix with hummus until everything is well covered while the falafel sliders are baking
You can also add tahini sauce to make it taste better
To put together your sliders, start with a dollop of hummus slaw on the bottom half of each slider bun
Then add a falafel patty and finish with the top half of the bun
